Yegua Creek Park COE, Brenham, Texas

Rain and wind and cold followed us to Yegua Creek Park. They had a nice collection of white-tailed deer that were all around from the moment we pulled into the campground. We started out with one night but as the rains pelted us incessantly, it became obvious that we didn’t want to be out on the roads. During one brief dry spot we walked to the office and signed up for another night. The hike to the showers was tough with a very cold wind blowing off Somerville Lake. In different weather conditions this would have been a beautiful spot to spend a week.
