This is a beautiful small campground on the south side of the Little Florida Mountains outside Deming. It is mostly used by, appropriately enough, rock hounds. The area is a popular destination for folks who go out into the desert with buckets looking for rocks, gems, geodes and the like.
The sites are spacious and the surroundings are beautiful. The campground has several hiking trails, but non of them sounded inviting on a cold and very windy day. We’d come back again, hopefully in better weather.
