Stained Walls From Mineral Springs

Raccoon Creek is situated on land that stared out as a resort built by Edward McGinnis around Frankfort Mineral Springs. The National Park Service managed the building of the park by the CCC in the Rustic Style. Although the resort closed in the early 20th century, you can still take a short hike to the remains of the springs. In the photo below, you can see the foundation of the outer wall of the pool as well as outlet pipes below the wall.
