McKinney Falls State Park, Austin, Texas

Feeling pretty good about our new super quiet air conditioner, we stopped in Austin to see if we could get a screen for the side door. We met Doug from Plisse and talked about various options. We didn’t come away with a screen door but we have a plan and when we get home in the spring, we know what we have to do to make it work.

McKinney Falls State Park was a nice spot to camp just south of Austin. The Visitors Center was closed for repairs due to a flood several years back. The falls (see below) are not that impressive at low water but check this out if you want to see what it looked like at during the flood. The roads in the campground are a bit rough but otherwise it was thumbs up. Good cell service and lots of OTA TV channels.
