We burned the last extra day in our schedule making some necessary repairs. The fates were with us two days before Christmas and only one stop each at Home Depot and Tractor Supply and an afternoon on the ground rigging a temporary solution to a plumbing problem and were good to go. We would need more parts but we could get through Christmas.
We get questions about rivers in the west and here’s a good example. This is the Rio Grande just west of downtown. It looks like a sand bar because it is a sand bar at this time of year. The real attraction is the mountains. The east side of town is blessed with great views of the Organ Mountains. When lined up right street views are good, too.
One of the best views of Las Cruces can be had from the KOA.
