We were quite happy to find a spot around Jacksonville on a holiday Friday night. The campground was crowded and a bit noisy in the evening but quieted down after dark. This is old Florida camping. Sites among the oaks and Spanish moss east of the city along the Atlantic ocean. When busy it feels like a sardine can. It’s a two-edged sword. If not for the large number of sites, we’d never have gotten in but this campground really needs to have about a third of the sites removed.
Showers were small and dated but clean. Water was hot but no way to keep water off your dry things (No shower curtains). There used to be hooks on the doors but they were broken off and looked like they’d been that way for quite some time. OK for an overnight but I might give it a second thought based on how booked they were. No Wi-Fi. Cell service and TV reception were good.
