This is a beautiful park just minutes from downtown Charleston. During the holidays it is decorated with thousands of lights and reservations for the campground are made a year in advance. After making dinner for the buzzards we walked around the lake. This is spring and pollen season doesn’t have that name for no reason. The entire path under the trees looks more like home with a dusting of snow except here it’s green. Despite the pollen, the entire park was full of people enjoying the outdoors.
Office staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and hot water was plentiful. Cell service was great. Campground had Wi-Fi but it was next to useless. OTA TV was less than expected.
