What a gorgeous spot! This county campground is located in Tucson Mountain Park, adjacent to Saguaro National Park. We were surrounded by saguaros, ocotillos, and other desert plants.
There’s plenty of room between sites, providing a nice sense of privacy. Most sites have electrical hookups, and water spigots are scattered throughout. No showers. This is a great location for visiting the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the western side of Saguaro National Park, and Old Tucson. The only downside is a long drive for groceries. We found the area so delightful that we’re already planning a return trip.
Even the boys enjoyed the location, and the new spot above the screen door.
