A review we read said the campground would be empty when you arrive and full by dark. That’s a very accurate description. This is a great location at the intersection of I-81 and I-77. There’s a very high and conveniently located hill that blocks the traffic noise from the interstate and the light from the truck stop. It’s also covered with farm animals. Good bathrooms and laundry. Our site was grass and gravel. It was somewhat muddy from recent rain. Another area had concrete pads and a third area was grass. The ramp up to the office needs a bit of work.
Groceries and Walmart a few miles west in Wytheville and a Blue Beacon truck wash in Fort Chiswell.
