The floor gets pretty chilly in the winter, so we decided to add a rug. We wanted to cover most of the floor with something low profile and easy to clean. We found indoor-outdoor runner sold by the foot at Home Depot. The width was approximately 26 inches, which would fit our aisle without too much trimming.
After making a paper pattern (we just love crawling around in tight spaces!) we cut the rug with scissors and laid it down.
In the warmer months, we roll it up for storage. Floor cleanup is easier without it.
