Like many KOA campgrounds, this one is conveniently located close to the highway. Most are not in a bowl behind a hill and a Days Inn and we had no traffic noise at all. Just one campground loop was open and there were barely a handful of occupied sites. The quiet was broken only once by a deer (just a guess) on the hill behind us around 7:00.
Check in was at the front desk in the Days Inn. Signage could be better. We didn’t see the sign for check in until we were leaving in the morning. The property includes the Mountain Lakes Amphitheater (seats about 1700) and the Days Inn. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. Hot water was abundant but there was quite a wait for it to arrive. Campground Wi-Fi worked well but there wasn’t much competition.
