The park is in downtown Blanco, a city with population 1876. The downtown square is lined with neat old buildings and centered by a beautiful ex-courthouse (the county seat was moved to Johnson City 30 miles away). The park stretches for about a mile along both banks of the river and has a tiny campground with 35 sites. It was a pleasant place to hang out for a couple of days and wait for warmer weather. First night 16 degrees.
